Joe
was born in Buffalo, NY, and has been in the restaurant industry for
over 33 years, starting at 14 years old. Having been a Las Vegas
resident for the past 27 years, moving here to attend UNLV for Hotel
Administration, Joe has over 22 years of management experience for
restaurants, most recently as the managing partner for Outback
Steakhouse on W. Sahara.
Rhonda,
who is originally from Steubenville, Ohio, moved to Las Vegas over 25
years ago, and met Joe in 1983, and they married in 1984. With Rhonda’s
Greek heritage, she brings a love of entertaining plus a true taste for
authentic Mediterranean food.
Joe
has always had a desire to open his own restaurant. For years he
managed a restaurant for others, but always yearned to have something
he could call his own. Rhonda and Joe love to entertain and Joe could
always be found in the kitchen cooking up a new creation. Joe’s love
for the business comes from knowing that people have enjoyed the meal,
service, and company.
Every
menu item is homemade, from recipes handed down generation to
generation to new creations. The café is a family affair, with Joe’s
mom Rose, son Joe, daughter Mia (when she’s back in town on college
breaks) all can be found in the café, ready to help with a friendly
smile and warm service.
The
café was decorated by Joe, Rhonda, and children Mia and Joe Jr. It stimulates the senses so the
visitor feels the warm ambiance and atmosphere of dining in a café off
the streets of a Greek or Italian village. Come in and see and taste
